ELIGIBILITY: Any member of at least two (2) years standing in the ASCLS-PA who presents an acceptable reason for desiring to attend a workshop, seminar, college course or other approved program designed for continuing education in the field of Clinical Laboratory Science. Each member of ASCLS-PA can apply for multiple assistanceships each year, and receive up to a total of $250 per year through this program.

APPLICATION: Each applicant must submit a complete application form which includes: name, address, place of employment, position, the program applied for, date, tuition, and a statement of the reason for desiring to attend.

PAYMENT OF THE AWARD:

• Payment of the award shall be made directly from the ASCLS-PA to the awardee prior to the beginning of the course if time permits.
• The awardee must submit to the society proof of successful completion of the course within two weeks of the stated end of the course. This may be in the form of a photocopy of the certificate, transcript or a signed statement from the instructor of the course.  In the event that this is not done, funds must be returned or future awards will be denied.  Awardee must maintain membership in ASCLS for one (1) year after completion of the course to be eligible for future assistanceships.
